Something will happen if we have some one off test wins. If the 2nd tier can manage test victories they will get noticed. BD has done it. Not very long ago it would have been an 8-4 split instead of 9-3. Your test wins have made an impact.

Test wins plus ODI success. We are still banking on the golden run of 2015 because we beat SA, IND, PAK.

but the other issue is we had drawn several matches even without help from rain since 2013 that I think propelled us forward. plus beating the Big 3 always quadruples the value (India in ODIs and England in a Test).

Afghanistan wins their second Intercontinental Cup championship. Clearly the best side amongst those teams to have yet played Test cricket.

They are developing at an ever faster rate.

I know it is a brave call to make, but Rashid Khan is well on his way to being the best leggie since Warne.

1-1 series so far with the 3rd and final game coming up.

although Im an AFG fan, Im rooting for Ireland because they need the wins badly. AFG batting once again proving to be fragile...played 20 plus games vs ZIM and IRE and havent managed a single 300+ score which is shockingly poor.

Asghar Stanikzai has got to be the most useless guy in that team. And he's the captain to boot!

Rashid Khan seems to be both the best bowler and the best batsman in their team. A truly world class player.

Shows how poor Afghans are with the bat...couldnt even get 200. They have along ways to go.

Afghans name former WI and IRE coach Phil Simmons as their new coach. Smart move getting a guy with inside info on their main opponents. They key will be in how quickly he can turn their batting around, however. Ever since WCL Division 5, the AFG have been collapsing with the bat in almost every game they play, win or lose.
