Hello there chaps!

I am a Zimbabwean living in England involved with Mitcham Cricket Club in South West London. We are a friendly team, holding the distinction of being the oldest continually played on Cricket Green in the world, and were formed in the year 1685.

We field 3 Saturday XIs as follows:

Our 1st XI - in the Fullers Surrey County League 1st XI Division 1
Our 2nd XI - in the Fullers Surrey County 2nd XI Premier League
Our 3rd XI - in the Surrey Championship East Division - 3rd XI

We also play some mid-week 20/20 games and the occasional friendly and Sunday game.

We also have over 60 colts from Under 10 level up to Under 16s - so if you have children who would like to play there is plenty of opportunity! We have a number of ECB qualified coaches who coach our youngsters.

Our season starts in the 1st week of May 2017 and each of the senior sides had 18 scheduled matches - 9 home and 9 away. Each team will play 9 timed games of 95 overs in total; and 9 limited overs games of 45 overs each way - provided the weather holds!

There are fees involved which cover the cost of teas, new cricket balls, equipment and rental of the grounds and club house:

Annual Membership costs are as follows:
Adults: GBP£135 p.a. (GBP£100 if paid before 30.04.17)
Students/Unemployed: GBP£80 p.a
Colts: GBP£40 p.a.

Match Fees per game are:
Adults: £10
Students/Unemployed: £5
Colts: £5

If you are living nearby and would like to play, please PM me - you will be more than welcome! Do not worry too much about equipment as we have plenty available - spikes (if worn) and cricket whites are all you would need. We normally have a few beers after the game in our club house - as you can imagine - and it is a fun environment

It would be nice to see some fellow Zimbos!
Best Wishes to all
