Having ODI status doesn't make any difference. Look at PNG, They had ODI status for last 4 years and how many ODIs they played? US having ODI status could be big for ICC but ICC is too busy sucking India's cock otherwise if US becomes a megapower in cricket, ICC wouldn't need this cocksucking of India.

I’m pretty sure they get guaranteed 36 ODIs in the next three years

Setup has changed. ODI status through this tourney gives them a place in the ICC World Cup League Two, which has a fixed schedule and guarantees a ton of games against other teams at your level - part of the pathway to World Cup qualification.

Doesn't solve the old problem of Full Members being dicks about playing Associates, but does mean that team who show they can perform at this level will get a decent amount of fixtures as a reward.

So there you go a crazy final day see Namibia leap frog the US into 2nd spot which means not only have they clinched ODI status they are also in the final v Oman.

As expected the US and Oman didn’t really turn up so PNG have come from ‘no where ’ to clinch 4th spot and ODI status. Hard luck for Canada once again, just like last time v Nepal they’ve fallen short by one wicket!!! Bit of controversy with the US ‘apparently’ not trying to win the game but just trying to knock Canada out.

Hong Kong are the big disappointments again as they finish bottom and lose ODI status, hard to believe when you consider that they beat Afghanistan at the CWCQ last year and if had beaten Nepal they would have secured not only ODI Status but a spot in the super 6s.

Qualifying for the Asia Cup was a good boost and almost beating India made you think they would be one of the favourites to clinch ODI status, but a very poor tournament sees them in the wilderness. Shame for Rath and Hayat they’re really quality players who won’t be playing ODI cricket for a while now

Well done Namibia. Yes, a southern Africa series would be good. I am pleased for some of their stalwarts to get a chance at ODI cricket

Yeah, great for Namibia. We must welcome them to the fold by organising a 3 match ODI series to begin with...

I’m stoked they’ve got ODI status now😊😊
Like you say, they’ve got some serious stalwarts in their tanks who played in the 2003 World Cup!

Williams deserved to play ODI cricket and not to forget Van Schoor.
