Ireland v Australia ODI

Post by maehara »

Today in Dublin, which sadly is a little too far for me to be travelling to.

If Ireland win, they'll overtake Zimbabwe in the ODI rankings, and they're off to a reasonable start - Australia won the toss and opted to bat, and they're at 51/1 after 12 overs, with Ireland holding them back fairly well.

Have to admit I have my Ireland hat on for this one, and even though it wouldn't help Zim in the rankings I'm cheering with the Blarney Army for an Ireland win. GO IRELAND! :D

Yes, they are. Full Member status, coming to a cricket side near me soon, hopefully. :)

Aus 168/4 after 41. 220-240 is a good total at Clontarf, so Ireland not allowing the Aussies to get their own way...

Excellent !
I want Ireland to do well, but I don't want them to pass Zimbabwe on the table.....ahh I'm in a predicament.

Aus 231/9. Ireland can chase that, but they're prone to the occasional Zimbabwe-style batting collapse, so I'm not getting too hopeful yet. Good performance from the bowlers, though.

Ya well done Ireland :)
Kyle O Brian's a good cricketer. He's a more than useful quick bowler and a very good batter. He's the Kieran Pollard of the Irish side
Well done lads

Ireland 46/0 after 5 - motoring along at double the required rate. Wonder how long they can keep this up for?? ::bites nails::
