Never thought about it! Perhaps we shouldn't give our boys the benefit of the doubt. A guy like ### or ### who know that their chances of holding down a long term spot are very slim and that Zim isn't really relevant in international cricket could go that route. After all, what they earn from their FC contracts could potentially equate to years of hard work just to make the same amount of money. So take the cash buy a house, car, pay for your studies upfront and invest/put aside the rest! In our case I'd blame the selectors. If the upcoming stars know "sooner or later I'll get my chance, but because there's little continuity in the team, it's probably a once off", as is the case now, then they'll have a take-the-cash-and-run mentality.
