Yeup, the ICC can’t sit around and watch this happen.

You either need to invest in these fledgling Test nations or just leave it to the big boys

Ireland gets $5m per year specifically to fund Test cricket.....

Considering it went four years without playing any, it should have quite the kitty built up. :lol:

Ireland is doing better than Zimbabwe would. When was the last time we had four 80+ scores in the same innings overseas or even at home for that matter?

The Irish youngsters like Tector and Doheny are a couple notches ahead of the young Zim batters like Madhevere/Marumani/Shumba. I think Zimbabwe have only twice gone past 400 in Tests since readmission, and the Irish nearly notched up 500 here.

Zimbabwe has done pretty good v Sri Lanka in Tests since readmission

I haven’t watched any of this but I’m guessing the pitch is as flat as roadkill?

yep. should deteriorate soon though. Wouldnt compare how Zimbabwe went with the irish here. THis sl spin attack isnt as experienced. Also looks flatter than norma

Zimbabwe always manage to find demons in the pitch, even if it is a road. Honestly I'm not sure our guys have the patience, regardless of the conditions. Once they get to a stylish 60 or 70 they generally find a way to get out.
