^Rahim would have selected 4 SLAs, and one of them with a suspect action.

I was his staunchest defender (as a captain) and he probably had our best results in his first few years. Series wins against WI, NZ, an Asia Cup finals appearance, an overseas Test draw. But for some reason, Mushfiq's cowardice only grew with success. But it isn't even so much that as it is his constantly blaming everyone else for HIS failings, or at least failings in which he is partly responsible.

His Test captaincy is nearing an end, can't be sure when, but its just a matter of time. Our Test bowling attack may not become world class by the end of the decade, but Mushy won't be allowed to deny them their rightful support indefinitely. Once a Tiger tastes blood, he wants more.

No word on that yet. BCB president has already made some noise about Mushy having to choose after this series between keeping and captaining (in Tests). I think Litton Das just took his gloves away. Now the management may allow him to keep the skipping but it would best to give it to someone else. Someone mentioned Mahmudullah but he doesn't really have a set position in the XI I don't think. But just having Mushy be a specialist bat and move up from #6 to #4 would be a big help for the team.

Who would u pick ?

I see BD in a similar position to Zimbabwe where there doesn't seem to be many viable options to skipper the team ......

I would probably pick Tamim. I didn't get to see his captaincy cameo during the Pak series when Mushy got injured but people said he was a lot better than Rahim. I keep getting surprised at how competent the new generation of cricketers are, so I expect a couple out of Mominul, Nasir, Sabbir, et al to make good captaincy material. Mominul may be too much of an introvert but the others might make good leaders some day soon. But yeah, there is no obvious choice.

Well the series against India has also been sealed now.

Honestly, on current form we look to be a much stronger team than the OP suggests even. I didn't think Mustafizur would have had the kind of success he's had. It will be interesting to see how he responds after teams really start studying him. Then again, he's doing all this damage on totally dead tracks. Could be a real handful in seaming conditions like England.

The great thing is that all of a sudden the Bangladesh team doesn't have any apparent weakness. Top order batting, middle order batting, late order big hitting, all-rounder slot, spin bowler, varied pace attack...its all there. The fact that we play so few ODIs is actually going to help us to keep this rating we have now. Still, I'd like the BCB to arrange more 5 ODI series against the other top 9 sides.

There is nothing more fulfilling for a BD fan than to destroy our boro Bhais (big bros for you non Bengali/Hindi/Urdu speakers) India and Pakistan. Most of us rooted for one or the other before we got test status (former Pak fan myself) but most BD fans would lose to Zimbabwe 10 times just to be beat India and Pak a few times.

Mashrafee has really turned this team around. His bowling changes are good and his field settings are awesome without being as aggressive as say a Brendon Mccullum. He also has ever players' utmost respect. The man has had 7 surgeries from what I hear and has torn ligaments in both knees. He plays every game in pain. He was a genuine 145k speedster who began his career beating the Flower brothers for pace. Now he is reduced to bowling 125 military mediums. I call him Sher Khan, the Tiger King after the legendary Afghan warrior who briefly conquered Bangladesh from the Moghuls.

I suspect Heath Streak has also been instrumental in our rise. I said a while ago that our pace attack has real potential and they are proving that with a good coach you can achieve it.
