Reginald - middle name of Walter Reginald Hammond. "forbe" in Danish seems to mean "reserve". The reserve player has come out with the drinks in pic 2. And since we need "forbes" and not "forbe", you have shown a plurality of balls there in pic 3, just to include an "s" at the end of "forbe", may be.

If this is not the answer, I give up :)
I'm sorry, but wrong again. Danish is close, just move a bit southwards language-wise and you get there.

I'll keep this open just a bit longer, although I'm not sure when I'll be able to next log in.

Wally Hitzeroth?

Hitz is german for heat, roth is german for red.

Sad. I tried translation of hot, warm, thirst, quench, replenish etc. to German, but not heat :(

Correct. Waldor (Wally) Borcher Hitzeroth (born 1926) who played for Rhodesia, Northern Rhodesia (Zambia) and Eastern Province.

The clues were Wally (Hammond), obviously, heat (German: 'Hitze') and red (German: 'rot', which is pronounced exactly like 'roth'--although the 'roth' in Hitzeroth probably refers to a 'Rodung', a clearing).

After uploading the photo of Wally Hammond I thought I had to make this question a bit harder. After all there is only one "Wally" in the list of Rhodesian FC players :)

Herbert Chikomba?
Nope. What made you think that?

The online dictionary tells me 'chikomba' means "A lover, in a bad sense; one who takes the place of a husband or wife without legal right." :?
Wild guess - "Chikumba" was the brand of balls used in HMCA last season, I think!
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Anyway, question 410 was the most challenging question you asked, so no worries :)

529. Now that a can of worms / pandora's box has been opened, here's the question that plays with language and meaning of the name. But I promise it is much easier for sure...

Who is this?

You need LSD to have a remote chance at answering these.

I keep thinking Grandhomme, Grandhomme, Grandhomme ..., but yeah, great, that's not who you are looking for, surely.
