Re: Series Thread: Canada tour of Zim: Zim A vs Canada
I just had a look at the live scorecard and thought that Raza was a bit foolhardy to bring himself on when Wellington still had an over left, had been bowling well apparently, and Cheema was just starting to tee off ... And then next ball Raza clean bowls him ... What do I know? Brilliant captaincy?

These are called the powers of imagination, Zimdoggy. How could we follow Zim without it?

kkkkk, it got us though the dark ages when all we had to go by were bits and pieces of poorly written articles.foreignfield wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2017 11:05 amThese are called the powers of imagination, Zimdoggy. How could we follow Zim without it?

I remember Rizwan Cheema teeing off against us in the infamous Al Baraka Cup T20 quadrangular. I don't recognise any of the other names, so I guess he's the only one left from that era.
I guess this is the level Zimbabwe is at now. Five years ago an "A" team featuring 8 Test players would have steamrolled Canada within 30 overs. And here they are, conceding a score which could well be a winning score.
I fear the Sri Lankan Test series could be a horror show. I think Zim have a tendency to play better on the big stage, but that might be totally offset by our atrocious away record.
A tough time for the new MD to come in.

Waller and Maruma holding the back end nicely. Great effort from the lads. Partnership of 70 odd in quick time too.
