Re: [Series Thread] Tracking Zimbos in Shpageeza League
I can't believe these guys went to Afghanistan to play some meaningless T20's. A war zone.
Re: [Series Thread] Tracking Zimbos in Shpageeza League
Game seems to be back on now. Ey, the things a Zimbo would do for a pay check. Only a Zimbo would understand.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

Play has resumed.
Dean Jones said it was a little incident a fair way from the ground and all clear has been given by security.

I have said the same thing that Zim players should not have gone to Afghanistan

He immediately hit the ground. Sibanda was half down. Nobody else seemed too concerned
Not surprising you'd be rattled especially if you aren't used to hearing explosions like the Afghans probably are.

Daily Mirror says 2 dead, other messages on Twitter say 9 and 36 injured.
This is just insane - it was stupid enough when they went to Pakistan but at least they had security provided by a government which is not yet in failed-state territory. None of the Zimbabweans needed to go to Afghanistan, what on earth were they thinking? The fact that nobody from any western nations signed up should be a pretty good indicator to stay the hell away.
