Maruma played a lot of cricket purely as a bowler.

hmm I just curiously looked at his stats and what shocked me is that first class stats are actually not the worst. 205 wickets at an average below 25 and a batting average of 29. I was actually very surprised that his bowling strike rate and average is better than Cremers although Cremer has taken a lot more wickets because obviously he bowls a lot more in games. his limited overs stats are hopeless tho and since these are limited overs games then he really might be a Waller like selection

Cmon Tawac even as a bowler an average of 8 is shithouse

He hit the seen as a bowler and although it was during the ‘dark years’ when the Logan Cup was at a poor level he looked like he was going to be an international quality bowler.TapsC wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 9:30 amhmm I just curiously looked at his stats and what shocked me is that first class stats are actually not the worst. 205 wickets at an average below 25 and a batting average of 29. Not sure if he lost his action or just got found out against better batsman once they returned to the domestic scene.
He’s done well in first class cricket but when you watch him bat it’s not hard to see he’s not an international quality batsman.
