Good test for Byrom against a strong Goats seam attack

If he makes runs against Larry, Don, Shingi & Nyauchi in this match I have a feeling he’ll kick on and dominate the remainder of the Logan Cup season

Are my eyes deceiving me, or is Njabulo Ncube playing for the stars? :?
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Vusi is playing his first game of the season for the Goats, will be interesting to see how he fares.

Strangely enough, Ncube is playing for Rising Stars for some reason. I thought he had retired?

just checked the scorecard and it looks like Vusi has no respect for the young prospect Muzarabani, smashing him for a 6

We all need to embrace and follow any decent cricketing Zimbo plying his trade anywhere in the world. They’re just trying to make their way and I’m certain most have strong roots and were circumstances different they would be back here. Did you resent Mire being in Australia? He’s back here and doing well. Had he stayed here he’d probably be very ordinary. Our system turns players with potential into medicocre players. The standard and cricketing culture is piss poor here. Those guys will have a lot to contribute, even if it’s just for a summer contract. That’s also why we need overseas players in every team, and good ones, they show the lads who pay attention where they need to be.

Ncube is a teacher by trade isn’t he?

So if he is playing, my logic tells me that’s no coincidence.

My guess he is maybe the coach. And given some of their players are in the UAE, they were a little thin on resources?
