They have to start making money on their product which is ‘cricket’

ZC can’t afford to continue losing money on series after series, the sad truth is if they can’t afford to host Tests then maybe they shouldn’t.

At least the board has stemmed the bleeding and kept the debt at 19M whilst also continuing to organise fixtures and lure back star players.

PC & OB just kept taking loans from Metbank where they were board members of, in any other country those pricks would be behind bars.

Yeah, official merchandise. There would be easily 10000 orders for Zim Shirts around the world - 1000 each in Ind and Aus, about 3000 each in UK and SA minimally and a few more elsewhere is my guess. Hasnain should look at this option. He can get a feel of such requests by speaking to Price or checking out social media.

Giving the Pakistani tips on such basics as merchandise while still considering him competent.

Who represents Williams, Malcolm, Raza etc and that bat deal, and how much did they get for it. Start there to see just how marketable the players are.

We all know Chatara or Hami shirts won't be bought for obvious reasons.

NB: Not even AB and Steyn Proteas shirts fetch anything. Heck even the Proteas merchandise doesn't come close to 5% of Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates merchandise!

In the short term, getting more sponsors, tv contracts is the only way.
Non starter.
Long term though, it's about making the team competitive and hospitable (i.e. no more dilapidated facilities) which feeds into an attractive product (more lucrative tv contracts, more bums on the seats, better media coverage) and hence more India, Eng and Aus tours.
Let Streak and the Pakistani qualify for the world cup first after all the spending they've done. They have after all made the team more competitive, or have they wasted money ? You need to have a fixed and certain position on this subject otherwise the points are moot.

Again the India/BCCI question. :D
As an aside, there could be a shorter, pie in the sky, expensive route. ZC should do a thorough, professional review and then approach Kwese TV...he can buy out the current tv contract (or sub lease it), then in addition broadcast domestic cricket (a modest but relatively lucrative T20 tournament plus Logan Cup). Many of us overseas will pay for access to a tv app if the money will be used correctly.
Firstly, I don't think you understand how TV contracts work.

Secondly, South Africans don't even watch domestic cricket on live on TV, nor do they watch FC cricket at stadiums which is free entry. You're telling me more Zimbabweans will watch Burl and James than South Africans watch Miller and Albie?

Lastly, are you saying you don't trust the Pakistani, or that his team is incompetent or implying the previous "thieives" have influence over him rendering him impotent?

Prove it

Wrong! http://www.metbank.co.zw/index.php/abou ... -directors

Then pretty much every Non-Executive Director would be behind bars! How many people are company directors and at the same time bank directors yet their firms borrow funds from those institutions.

The problem with you is that you don't do enough research.

1.At no point has Peter Chingoka ever been an Executive at ZCU/ZC!!!
2.Bvute became MD(an executive role at ZC) after Vince Hogg resigned in 2005. He was in that role until he left ZC in 2012 to become a director at Metbank.

They are not so careless to ignore the bleeding obvious!

NB: Your beloved and "competent" Wilson Manase - Coltart and AC's friend - is actually Metbank Chairman as well as was ZC Chairman at the same time. Chairpersons actually wield some Executive influence. Chingoka has never been a chair of both institutions at the same time.

These things are not complicated to find. Apply the basics and avoid being as careless as the Tristans, Liams and Firdoses in their mindless propaganda.

Zimbabwe’s main visitors in 2015 were New Zealand and Pakistan, but Total Sports Marketing, a Bangladesh sports marketing agency, held the marketing and broadcast rights for the tours and was responsible for the expenses.
Betterdays, will Kwese TV want to finance expenses?

That's rich coming from you after all the crap you claim without any evidence.

There was an article a few weeks back about the debt in ZC which stated the fact the 19m debt left over from PC & OB hadn't grown since Hosnain started doing the books.

Of course you will argue the journalist is lazy or incompetent, but from the garbage you've produced in this recent re-carnation no one takes anything you say serious.

I provide proof. No one here provided proof about PC & OB. Not even the ICC itself or "qualified journos".

As for the Pakistani, proof drops almost everyday. Didn't your beloved journos later write articles pretty much substantiating everything I said??? It'll only get worse!

The Rising Stars are next. Wait until Taibu is sacked.
