If Williams makes it on time then 8-3 is the only way. I think it's clear now.

Is Williams injured or is he being disciplined?

First disciplined, then injured his finger.

The only issue is that by playing the 8-3 we can only play 2 seamers

Although at Queens the seamers might not make much impact

How does anyone have Waller in their starting 11. Based on the squad selected, I would go

Hammy
Mire
Taylor
Ervine
Burl
Raza
Moor
Cremer
Jarvis
Chatara
Muazarabani

Mire, Burl, Waller, Moor, Vitori. These four are in worst form. Any two selection among them can cost Zimbabwe.

For me this is the side I’d go with

Hami
Mire
BT
Ervine
Raza
Burl / Williams
Moor
Cremer
Vitori
Jarvis
Chatara

Blessing is very unlucky to miss out but I think Vitori in Zimbabwe has always been a handful.

Also picked Moor @7 because he’s shown for Zim A he can hit a lot of boundaries ( he has actually scored well for Zim A in games that weren’t classed as List A matches ) plus if we crumble he can dig in and see out the innings unlike Waller

I’ve still got more faith in Burl than Tari despite his struggles.

I’ve obviously put a lot of faith in some guys who haven’t performed lately.
