The game seems to be happening a day later than the original scheduled date. Sikanda is to be back for the Tuskers but still no Williams, Ervine. Zhuwao is missing from the Eagles lineup as well as Chikabva. But Kudakwashe Samunderu makes a surprise return. He last featured in the domestic scene in 2005.

Ok. So Jarvis said he is injured and will be back so that leaves Williams, Ervine and BT I guess. BT played in the legends match but not the list A game but didnt Elton also play for the legends but he is missing today? Mpofu and Mutumbami are playing today even though they were involved in the legends match. Raza is playing.
Its really hard to tell whats really going on because I feel like there is a bad habit of national players skipping domestic games. Cant really point it out with concrete evidence but if you look over the last few years a couple of guys are usually missing for half the games. Not the same guys but as a collective one or two are always missing every single round. You only ever see full stregnth teams a couple of weeks before a major tour or tournament. I think a guy like Elton for example has the power to decide whether he wants to play or not.
It could also be that some of these guys are just burnt out.guys like Elton and BT have been involved for 15 years now
Raza playing just shows how dedicated he is to his game.

Cunningham Ncube averages 5 after 10 List A matches and still gets another game

Whoever comes in as coach ahead of the T20 tri series has their work cut out. We only have one national team guy playing in this game and even he hasnt committed to Zimbabwe Cricket. Guyz like Elton, Mutombodzi, Zhuwao having the luxury of sitting it out. When they should be making a case for selection. These are really worrrying times ahead.

Wow, the lineups look like the good old dark days of 2006-08 are back.
Why on earth was Raza batting at 7 in that joke of a lineup?
Samunderu coming back is like our yearly Bliggie fun. But he most likely was the most talented player in his U19 batch. Let's see if he's got it still.
The only good thing about that scorecard for me is Zhawi getting a game, and doing well too...

Chris Mpofu seems to be a better batting prospect than this guy!SpitfiresKent wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 9:49 amCunningham Ncube averages 5 after 10 List A matches and still gets another game
