Next game, for me, the starting XI needs to see Ryan Burl open in place of Chari, and Ervine come in at the top. Play the 8-3.
1. Mazakadza (Cpt)
2. Burl (Another options with the ball)
3. Ervine (His technique is still one of the best, and his record is impressive in test cricket; no time constraints and can bat time)
4. Taylor
5. Williams
6. Raza
7. Moor
8. Chakabva (Wkt)
9. Mavuta
10. Jarvis
11. Chatara
You bat deep, have four spin options and two seamers to alternate with the new ball and in short spells.

Yep, let's go with that. But I doubt they will.

I never thought I would love test cricket again but there is just something about it. Key moments which you realize 5 days later that is where the game was won and lost. There is always that session when wickets tumble. I love it! Kriterion's suggestion of having a 6 week test tri-series every year with Zim Ire and Afghanistan might be revolutionary. The context would be incredible.
At 19-4 there was no coming back . That Chatara and Jarvis spell decided the game if you honestly look back at it. Pace out of all things. What a surprise. I think the tough times in South Africa sharpened our pace bowlers a bit. They were ready.

Loving having Jarvis and Chatara together. Need to get some games organised against Ireland and the Afghans for sure. Jarvis will do some damage on a seaming deck in Europe.

Maybe Eugene could do a comparison from this side that beat Bangladesh in Bangladesh compared to the last side to do so in 2001? I quite enjoyed the version he did when we beat Pakistan
