Man if that chance had been taken it would have been very difficult from there. Tough chance though.
Yeah. We need at least one more before lunch and then BD will crumble under the pressure.

I'd give Raza an over or two now...

Not enough singles. This is poor batting. They are just defending everything and thats always a bad idea. They just need 2-3 singles every over to build a partnership.

I don't say this often, probably never said it before, but the ZIM seamers couldn't have bowled to a better plan than they have so far.

Chatara hasn't really been threatening at all, but he's bowling maiden after maiden so in that respect he's doing very well - building pressure.

Jarvis is bowling really slowly. That last one was 121.

You can tell that from Chatara's career econ rate of 2.4. That is ridiculously low for Test cricket in the modern era. By comparison Dale Steyn, the legend, has an econ rate of 3.4.

This pitch has bounce and carry. A bit like the pitch ZIM saw in Dhaka in 2014. Granted that pitch also turned. But we don't know yet if there is turn on offer on this wicket. This is a good sporting track, similar to 2014. Will probably mean its gonna be a close contest.

Excellent start from Zimbabwe although keeping Chari is just mind boggling. It may come back to haunt us

A 200 run opening wicket stand could be very useful here to break the 8 consecutive innings of sub 200 totals... :D
All XI Bangla batters have to first cross the 169 run barrier. It’s Zimbabwe mind you.

What a fantastic start for Zim, two more wickets here and this test is ours. I know it’s early but Bangladesh look very fragile.
I would have prepared a turner if I were a Bangladeshi. I don’t agree with your thought process on that, Kriterion.
Burl has to be bitterly disappointed. Surely ZC need to be looking at bringing on a new batsman????
He has to be looking at his options around about now.
