Ervine doesn't seem to be playing today, unless Cricinfo has made a mistake. Hopefully he's well. It's disappointing not to see him out there when he is starting to find some serious form.

Ah -- that makes sense. I didn't even realise the season was almost over.

Roy Kaia could possibly be the best offie in the country right now, given the severe lack of options in that area? Where does he stand with respect to Raza? He could actually come in as a specialist offie with batting as an additional advantage. There is a role for him in the national side if he can take it up...

And the guy surely deserves more than half an ODI.

Yes, rested, as was Mpofu and a couple of others.

Yes I mentioned his chances in the other thread, now he goes and scores a century & took another wicket. Finishes the season as the 2nd highest run scorer and 2nd highest wicket taker. Not sure he'd be suited to batting down at 6 or 7 which is where he'd more than likely be installed, but he's definitely earned the right to be in the discussion.

Is it true that Roy Kaia has a dodgy bowling action? I remember reading that here.

I hope it is not true, but we know dodgy actions have been allowed in the domestic competition. :(
