Quite likely, but how much would Mercuri or any bidder lose by setting up a bunch of cricket pitches around the US and carting the teams around the country for a couple of weeks? A whole lot more than $20M by my guess. I think they should spend the money on building one venue around New York/New Jersey.

Mercuri (if they bid on UST20 and were chosen) could fold the Toronto operation into a bigger competition operating 2 venues (T.O. and NY/NJ) with 8 teams (4 based in NY, 3 based in Toronto + CWI B team). That probably provides the best way to lose the least money. It would be up to Mercuri to make their money on the overseas TV market if such a thing is possible.

Was this against a full strength Rhino’s side (minus BT)?
That’s a great and surprising result for them, and a poor day for the men being thrashed by part time schoolboys. I said before we’ve got some decent players, especially Myers. If this lad is managed properly he’s got a bright future.

So I was having a browse of the Queensland Scorers Association website and clicked on their PDF for who was allocated which match in 2017/18 season and saw this as a scheduled event.

Zimbabwe U19 Camp
Thursday, 17 August 2017 Queensland U19 Boys v Zimbabwe U19 University of Qld DCC 9:30 AM
Sunday, 20 August 2017 Queensland U17 Boys v Zimbabwe U19 Souths 9:30 AM
Tuesday, 22 August 2017 Queensland U17 Boys v Zimbabwe U19 AB Field 9:30 AM
Thursday, 24 August 2017 Queensland U19 Boys v Zimbabwe U19 AB Field 9:30 AM
Sunday, 27 August 2017 Queensland U17 Boys v Zimbabwe U19

Does anyone know if this went ahead and why no mention was made of it if it did? What game are ZC playing at here. Had I know about this I would have definitely gone down to a game or two.

The tour was briefly mentioned in the forums here and here.

The Zimbabwe Cricket team have found Ebola in one of their members, but they're not concerned because they have also found Ebatsmen and Efielda!
