It may well happen at some point. There’s every chance both Currans will be in the team and in the unlikely event that Ballance were to get a recall it would be an interesting few days. The English have been very slippery and they owe us big time.
Can you imagine that scenario aha

:D It's cold outside Zanu PF like one of his comrades once said. What a nightmare it must be to be stuck with a 94 year old man rambling every time he wakes up.

What cracked me up the most is that he spoke for one and a half hours.. Must be dying to get an audience once again.

He donated $1m and some cattle to the AU and then demanded they help reinstate him?
That would be the cheapest coup in history. It’s called a a bribe.

Being denied constitutional benefits? Isn't that something Grace could help him with?

When Zimbabweans are expressing nostalgia for Robert Mugabe you know things must be bad. Yet it is now common to hear that things are worse under Emmerson Mnangagwa, president since a 2017 coup, than during the darkest days of the man he deposed.

The main cause of Zimbabwe’s suffering is economic mismanagement.

Mr Mnangagwa’s government has brought in tough measures, backed by the IMF, to stabilise a wrecked economy. They have made things worse.

People have reached breaking point. The opposition is calling for a nationwide strike on Friday. The last time it took similar action in January, security forces reacted with jackbooted ferocity. At least 13 people were killed, dozens of women raped and hundreds beaten up as armed men went house to house.

In the aftermath, the opposition went quiet. This week, Nelson Chamisa, the opposition Movement for Democratic Change leader, is talking the language of revolution. “We now need to do the work, roll up our sleeves and we, as a people, be our own liberators,” he said. The government, mindful of popular uprisings in Algeria and Sudan, is treating the challenge as an existential threat. It will shoot to kill if necessary.

Zimbabwe, paradoxically, is still one of Africa’s brightest prospects. Its people are among the best educated in the continent, testimony to one of the few things Mr Mugabe got right.

Tomorrow is a big day. There’s supposed to be a huge peace march and no one in the leafy suburbs knows what’s going on. There have been abductions of MDC activists by a “third force,” according to the government, and they’re going to great lengths to prevent it. They’ve arrested a couple of cars smuggling in “granite stones” which the street kids have supposedly stashed in order to wage war against soldiers with modern assault rifles.
MDC are quiet about the march, who knows what tomorrow has in store for us. The usual plan is to head them off before they get to town. Our country is disintegrating day by day before our very eyes, is there not a single voice of reason within the government, or the opposition, for that matter? The pressure cooker is now on simmer.

I believe people are still scared about what the army will do to them if they march tomorrow, memories of what previously are still fresh on peoples mind... At best it will be rally of several thousand people and then business as usual on Monday

It’s on the ZRP page- the Police have just unearthed the deadly arms cache- a solitary bag of rocks and 6 caterpaults and have withdrawn permission to march. The rocks are too big for the caterpaults anyways.
This was sleuthing out the top drawer.
