Name Your XI .... with a twist

Post by jaybro »

Well not much happening at the moment with the only movement on the forum being political or social values shared by Dogg, Zimbo & Kriterion. Someone mentioned it was time for a 'Your XI' thread and well it's all been done before so I thought I'd throw a spanner in the works.

This is the scenario -

Zimbabwe is playing a Test match, ODI & T20 all at the same time, you need to pick an XI (with a 12th man if you like) to play in each fixture, obviously you can't pick the same guy because the matches are on at the same time. Also you have to aim to win all three matches, so don't overload the one side make sure you spread the talent around.

Here are my XI's

Test

Chari
Kasuza
Burl
BT c
Moor
Raza
Regis wk
Shingi
Mumba
Jarvis
M'shangwe

Ngarava 12th

ODI

Tari c
Mutombodzi
Maruma
Chigumbura
Mutumbami wk
Mashinge
Mavuta
Mpofu

Good effort at a new thread Jaybro but I can't put three teams on the park at once.

Maybe a Test and a short format XI.

Cause that T20 team will struggle against Austria

I’ll need access to the Zimbabwean phone book to make up the numbers....

1. Good attempt jaybro! But we hardly have any clarity on game time even domestically and you are thinking of all three formats being played in parallel internationally! If anything, as I sad earlier, hope and enthusiasm - one must learn from you! :)

2. I find it interesting to note that Wellington is not even among top 33 players in the country anymore :?

3. How long before this thread peters out into Trump, muslims, gay marriages, Chamisa, Mugabe, hhm, Africa, Rugby, Penguins, UFOs and Trump? I'd give it 23 replies...

We are the only test playing nation not playing any cricket, be it international or domestic. The only one of our players actually playing is Raza in the Abu Dhabi T10.

This is the board that Hammy and the lot backed.
