Upcomming England Tour Of South Africa, will decide South Africa 's approach to future in selection after their dismal performance recently, scrapping of qoutas and tough policy on players leaving for Kolpak deal going to follow.

What is Hammy actually doing in his role. We're almost in to December and still, not a single ball is bowled.

It takes time to prepare, new suits to get tailor made, he has to choose his new VX or Range Rover, be reasonable. Hammy will be shopping in the XXXL section soon
It looks like the government has just removed the price control on mealie meal. Police and army are now on high alert because eating just became an unaffordable luxury for most.
Let them eat cake perhaps?

ICC have released funds and there’s no money for cricket!
It can only mean one thing- ZC are refusing to bring money in at bank rate. The “black market” rate is at least double the official rate and RBZ are waiting avariciously for a transfer that they can grab at half price.
Usually they’d let ZC boys sell the offshore money at market rate and declare whatever rate they wanted and pocket a lot of money that no tame auditor would ever “find.” To me this indicates there’s now a big rift/problem that wasn’t there before. Are they still using Metbank as their local bank, I wonder?
We’re heading for a meltdown in Zim, not only economically, but politically. When the coffers are completely empty every single excess sticks out like a dog’s ball. The chickens have finally come home to roost.
That should read- the roosters are about to have a coup.

More evidence that ZANU are trying to think the herd’.
Let the expenses die off to a more manageable number, then wave it in front of the west to get more aid money. To be distributed as ZANU see fit.
Sick joke of a nations administration.

To be honest whatever the delay is its a blessing in disguise. Its been raining and it is scheduled to keep on raining for the next couple of weeks. Its that type of rain that when it starts cricket will not be played on that day.

We all know our players and admin love a good christmas break so Sri Lanka will probably slaughter us in January at this rate.

Crazy how nobody mentions the IMFs role in all of this. Typical example of textbook economics causing serious hardship in real life. The GVTs plan is simple. Fool the IMF into giving them money. If it means people starve then so be it in their eyes.

Under Hoggs domestic plan, we'd be half way through the season by now

IMF is in a catch 22. If they give no funds, then the people gets absolutely nothing. If they give funds, a lot will get stolen, but the people will still get something which is better than nothing.

This is the only way to have a working domestic season in Zim. From the day this post was made, AC's academy was already drafted into the domestic season (if there ever will be one), so it is just a matter of extending this to others...

This way, soon, a day may come where only the high profile academies might be playing any serious cricket in the country. How about these guys organizing a full season of all-format matches between themselves?

1. Campbell's Academy - in place of Eagles
2. Streak's Academy - in place of Tuskers
3. Mawoyo's Academy - in place of Mountaineers
4. Brent's Academy - in place of Rhinos
5. Taibu's Academy - in place of Rocks / Stars

Excellent fit :D

Unless they resolve this impassé with the rate there’s no cricket. The official rate has to move out, which will happen when the black market rate moves much further out and the buying power of the Bollar will be way less than it is now.
With Metbank to hide the shenanigans we’d be playing cricket by now, how ironic.
Time for ZC to start importing fast moving product and actually make a profit   I wonder if ICC would agree to that
They could buy shares in one of the few companies listed locally and offshore
I’d have started a ZC business years ago that would have sustained this whole sad enterprise.
