I also want to remind you guys of Taibus words two years ago.

“If a player wants to score international 50s, they will need to clock up regular Logan cup centuries.

If they want to be a genuine test cricketer capable of centuries, they will need to clock up double centuries in the Logan Cup.”

I completely agree.

It’s surprising the Logan Cup has retained its name.
They ditch everything with a Rhodesian past- it was first presented over a century ago. Surely it should be rebranded the Chingoka Cup?

You say it sarcastically but be careful because some ape will take it serious, go viral and next season it will be just that.

Case in point. This is why the media calls the team ‘Chevrons’. A striped V.

That Rangers opener will crack the Zim team by March if he keeps playing like this . That's the 1 attractive thing about ZC. It won't take long for you to get noticed. There is a vacancy uptop and he bowls as well.he just needs to convert those 50s
127* and four wickets with his off-breaks as well, plus a leftie.
His name caught my eye last during the T20 comp, I noticed he was named in the ACHPP and I’ve followed them closely. No doubt he has been the standout batsman during their numerous warm up games.

He’s now showing his talents against the seasoned pros and doing really well, Gary Brent spoke highly of him before the season started as well.

He was one of my players to watch in the other thread and at this rate he’ll definitely be in national colours soon enough.

Getting back to the NT players they really have no excuse here, players all over the world are playing cricket so these guys have no excuse. The argument Googly threw up about home being screwed over before makes it ok doesn’t wash at all, you’re either all in or you’re not.

The 1st Test starts on January 16th, not much time to get back into form if you haven’t swung a bat for months like BT

I bet these national team guys are just down at the local KFC instead of playing cricket. What's the bet they pitch up for national team duty out of shape and out of form? Pathetic.

2 opener spots

Kamunhukamwe vs Masvaure vs Kasuza vs Mudzinganyama vs Chari (incumbent)

Chari has lost this battle already in my view. Which two should get it out of the remaining 4?

I doubt there are two opening spots available, I’m sure one of the regulars will be told to open and there will be one position available. I’m not seeing Mudzinganyama getting a shot, they’re oddly conservative and like to rotate guys we’ve seen before and hope for a miracle.

I’m sure Chari will get a game. He did ok last time.
It would be good to know the story behind some of the lads not playing. Raza is going to have to put some lipstick on to get the nod, they’re probably going to make him sweat. Spite plays a big hand in the selection process.
