This Team by now would have been in business if Streak Taibu Combo Continued

Post by Stoneman Returns »

Few things definately would have happened

1) ZRS initiative would have continued

2) Grooming talents through A team would have become prominent

3) Prevent loosing of players to clubs in UK & Australia

4) Combo could have brought few talents back to play for Zimbabwe

5) Under 19 kids would have been looked after in better way

6) Failures & non performers would have been left the game and move to some other business.

7) The Zimbabwe team which lost against UAE and got kicked out from ICC CWC 2019 could have been now a team to bother about for stronger oppositions after correcting various mistakes, that could have offered more games for Zimbabwe against stronger oppositions and could have improved financial conditions

8) Strong Bench strength

Anyone want to take bets on when Mamba or robot chimes in with a comment fully agreeing with Stones?

‘Stop being useless old failure’ would sound more authentic. The ‘a’ isn’t in their dictionary. Likewise ‘losing’ seems to always be spelt ‘loosing’ for some reason. Loosing the noose perhaps?

Need new talents.

Here's the thing though, as harsh as it sounds. We had the best team on the park and a good coaching set up... and we STILL lost to UAE, they STILL couldn't get the job done.

The reality is we're just not a good team no matter who the personnel are.

Its harsh to judge Streak Taibu combo with just 1 loss.Zimbabwe lost many important matches under various other coaches, but they continued their job.

Streak & Taibu also get less time for preparation, still they achieved many surprising success at that short time.

After they have been removed, even the team spirit, wining mentality of players have been missing and now the whole unit is falling apart

Can we please leave that UAE game in the past, I feel TapsC verges on a nervous breakdown every time he thinks about it

That UAE loss is hard to put in the past because it, more than any other result affected the present and future of Zimbabwean cricket. We may never play in another ODI CWC again.
