Is there a point in getting our hopes up till the day of the match when the players take the field? All these future tours thing is just PR from different boards and ICC for long now.

ZIM usually don't have a shortage of fixtures or tours (except Tests). Remember 2015-2019 Zimbabwe played like 4th most ODIs out of all nations or something like that. Fixtures against major sides like Pakistan and Afghanistan won't get cancelled as long as the COVID situation is as expected.

Hearing a few interesting names may be appearing in the Logan Cup, mainly former youngsters who have been away. Whole thing is a shambles still no fixtures and rain on the way. ICC apparently insisting on a bio secure bubble.

Sounds like Jarvis is retiring from cricket which is a real shame.

Vinge Cup may start this Sunday.

It would be really sad if we lost Jarvis. Injury? More money in other areas? Wow.. why can’t we just ever be in a position to build a winning team without somebody walking out? He is crucial.

The bio secure environment will be revolutionary for Zim because that means players can’t just pick and choose which fixtures they want to play. They would rather play every game than sit in the hotel. The down side is everybody in Zimbabwe knows that ZC is the richest sports organization so they will have to pay at least 1 million dollars to get that done which will probably see some test matches getting canceled.

I honestly thought we would keep this core group of players until the next World Cup. Anyway if that’s the case they should use his wages on somebody else

How long was BT and Jarvis’ famous deals? I thought it was two years right?
If he’s retired it would mean he just saw out that contract.

It’s crucial though we keep our core (the players we want) until the next World Cup campaign.

Maybe even lure one or two players back.

It wouldn't surprise me. His body already looked spent when he came back to Zim, even though he could compensate that to an extent, having become a more clever bowler. He has really been plagued by injuried throughout his career. A shame nevertheless if true.
