So from what I can see so far we got Afghanistan in February, Ireland in March and Pakistan just after. It will be a busy time .

They'll have to crack through our domestic season before anyone arrives because we've only got two decent grounds, and of course they'll have to "postpone" our club season until 2022. I predict 3 more weeks of a fake snot bubble and that's 2020 season done and dusted, box ticked. Can't wait for another $1million dollar Takashinga makeover for the 2023 qualifiers. Last time they bought two taps for the basin in the men's room and a toilet seat because they'd been stolen :lol:
Come see for yourselves :lol:

A full and competitive domestic season is a good start for me. There are a lot of young talents around this time. I think we will have a very different squad at the end of it
You have way more faith in this board than I do. I don't know how you do it.

From the Independents Kevin Mapasure on twitter
@ZimCricketv
to play Afghanistan (two Tests, 3 T-20s) in either Abu Dhabi or Zim starting end of January, I have been told.
@NewsDayZimbabwe
Two tests in Zimbabwe would be fantastic.

Anywhere would be fantastic, but UAE might be safer bet. Secure bubbles, access to top quality hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Also, even ZIM will be getting back to Test cricket before Bangladesh :lol:

They will return into the bio bubble soon after the New Year holiday to commence the T-20 provincial competition with the T-20 tournament, which will be used by the national selectors to pick the squad that will play Afghanistan), set to run between January 4 and 11.

Logan Cup then returns on January 15.

ZC better not cancel any of those Tests and swap for limited overs. Can you guys imagine Zimbabwe playing 8 Tests in a single year? That is fucking awesome. Zimbabwe has probably never played that many Tests in a single year.

Potentially 16 innings gives a batter a chance at getting 1000 runs in a calender year or a bowler a chance at 50 wickets.

I think it’s much more safe to believe that the main goal of the people running ZC is to get their hands on that annual 9mil/4mil grant from the ICC, so they can siphon it out and embezzle.
That is key goal number one and cricket is just a backdrop to that. Think about all the examples over the years.
Cricket operations happen just enough to not jeapordise that grant. If they could get that grant with only half the standards needed as now, they would float just above that too.

The good things you see out of Zimbabwean cricket is usually from the passion of the people involved on the ground. Fans of the game. Independent of ZC. Cricket is a sport and sport is like music and art. People follow it out of love. Take those people on the ground away and there really is not much happening from ZC at all.
