Good bloke Boothy. I was a massive advocate for him to be included in the squad for NZ in 2012 when he was averaging 50 I think in the Logan Cup. Shame he was never re-included.

Yeah, issue is that he was opening the batting and Vusi and Hamilton were scoring big runs at the time. Good leader, very heavily involved in the Under 19s over the last few years.

Also apparently a sensational club player.
Mate played with him at a high level club in England with him and Jimmy Adams.
Said Ewing was just next level to anyone else in the Comp. my friends no mug, probably Logan cup level himself, so for him to be in awe is something.

Yes, it didn't help that he was accident-prone, and so often got injured at the wrong time. I remember once in a Logan Cup match at Mutare I told him in the morning I told him I was glad he was fit again and hoped he could get through the match without getting injured this time. Before the day was over he had left the field with a head injury! I apologized for having jinxed him!
