Sri Lanka in Bangladesh 2021 | World Cup Super League
SL have named a totally rebuilt squad. Dimuth, Mathews, Chandimal all dropped, with Kusal Perrera and Kusal Mendis being given the reigns. Its a bold move for a side that has struggled the past several years.
Bangladesh with a full strength side, and playing at home. The biggest news being Shanto has been dropped totally from the side, after sitting on the bench during the entire series vs NZ.
Crucial points at stake for both sides.

No rain in the forecast for today's game. We really need to boss Sri Lanka here. Absolutely no excuses or place to hide if we fail. Even a 2-1 win will be disappointing.
Hoping for the best.

That series Bangladesh weren't at full strength and were clearly playing well under their capabilities as their World Cup performance would indicate. This series, SL have a completely rebuilt team without Mathews, Chandimal, and Dickwella.
Additionally, Bangladesh need to win convincingly in order to reverse their recent slide in form.
Lastly, Bangladesh are playing at home.

This game underway despite the COVID scare...still a decent chance for this series to be abandoned at any point
Bangladesh winning the toss and batting first, which is great. But a slow start to the innings. Perhaps a sluggish pitch. Tamim and Shakib are struggling for timing.
