Embarrassing from Pakistan and credit to India bowlers. Bumrah is just too good, Pakistan have messed up dramatically as usual.

I would argue the world cup qualifiers were more interesting than this shitshow.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 12:00 pmHave we actually had a single close game yet?
Hilarious that the supposed justification for restricting the number of associates was to 'prevent too many one-sided games'

Yea they were. I wouldn't mind but the squads for some of the Asian sides are just awful. Bangladesh are down a couple I think and Sri lanka may as well be bowling with their third string club side. Three of their best bowlers gone.

Re: 2023 ODI World Cup Discussion
Shame on these twats btw. You don't organise an opening ceremony for the entire goddamn tournament, then you provide the nation which activitely devises how to kill your soldiers and civilians with the respect of gods by organising a ceremony before the match. After the match you'd see these cricketers who supposedly feel pride in representing the nation suddenly hugging and laughing with the pakistanis as if they are long lost brothers or something.
Even if you keep the Indian emotion aside, it's such a disrespect to the likes of Aus,Eng, SA, NZ, etc to not even having the smallest of opening ceremonies. I mean even the Zim afro t10 had one. . I just can't.....

Exactly the same in 2019. Qualifiers great (except if you were Zimbabwean). Main tournament was 90% terrible but everyone forgets because all they remember is the great final.Crastle_cog wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 12:14 pmI would argue the world cup qualifiers were more interesting than this shitshow.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 12:00 pmHave we actually had a single close game yet?

Re: 2023 ODI World Cup Discussion
A rather pedestrian World Cup so far. Still early days though, plenty of time for the tournament to produce some good games.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

We are all set to see a whole lot of dead rubbers in this World Cup. At the moment it looks highly unlikely that SL, AFG, NET, BAN and may be even Pak will stay in contention for long.
Pathetic format.
