Re: Sean Ervine
Vusi looks shaky at the start of an innings as well, especially against the new ball, thats why i prefer him at 4.

I wonder how many of our national team players are fans of the ZCF. Sorry Vusi. Is that your real opinion of the guy Zimdoggy? True, he looks horrible early on, but beyond Vusi I would've thought it's hard to pick many guys in our domestic setup, who are actually a joy to watch once they get in........eugene wrote:Vusi looks good back in the pavilion.

brendon Taylor and Masacadza are a joy to watch when they get in, particularly in the one day matches with Taylors upper cuts and masacadza running down the wicket turning good length balls into half volleys.
Taibu can turn it on too when the mood takes him

It isn't his fault at all, it's the selectors

Re: Sean Ervine
Taylor: Cheeky isn't always neat. Put it to you this way - in full flow, who would you rather watch the whole day? Dilshan or Mahela.jimbo wrote:brendon Taylor and Masacadza are a joy to watch when they get in, particularly in the one day matches with Taylors upper cuts and masacadza running down the wicket turning good length balls into half volleys.

Hamilton: I don't fancy watching guys who play like they want to split the leather in half.
Taibu: Effective but too cute to be placed in that category.
Coventry, Vusi & Williams have my vote. Once they are in they look pleasantly in command of the crease&the bowlers. I feel bad rating Taylor behind them though. Just a personal assessment.

Re: Sean Ervine
the thing with taibu is that he is a little person and cant hit the ball that hard and he knows it, so he is getting adept to using the pace of the ball.
Reverse sweeps are a good way of hitting a boundary while using the pace of the ball, thatas why he does it

Re: Sean Ervine
For me once the guys get going top of the list is Vusi like when he took Aus apart in the opening overs of the T20 WC, Second will be Taylor cos of his vast arrays of shots! and Hamilton for his aggression and Elton for just hitting the skin off the ball though sometimes it doesnt look pretty but hey it gets the crowd going!
