So Michael Frost travelled all the way to Zim but to be told he wasn't allowed to play
Zim Afro T10
Re: Zim Afro T10
Brad Evans also not listed in the squad. Fairly sure he is not fit to be fair.

Imagine thinking you are getting a 20k payday and getting to play with David Warner, but in the end all you get is three games for Tuskers B against Botswana?
Re: Zim Afro T10
Brutal game this one.
Re: Zim Afro T10
It's clear as day that the Pakistani crooks stuck a pin in the list and it landed on Michael Frost and then Mutendira said no you can't pick him you have to pick someone I tell you to because I'm getting a payday.
Re: Zim Afro T10
Rumour has it that Evans was told to take a seat because ZC were not happy about him being unavailable from injury and then his first week back he gets a big pay day. Made room for another favorite.
In fairness I think they'd be happy if ZC picked penguins for them. 90% of them aren't going to bowl or bat.

Re: Zim Afro T10
That seems reasonable to me, Bradders has been out the game so long a big pay day probably isn’t deserved. Whether his replacement is any more deserving is another question.
Regis and Donald, even Larry, I’ve no problem with them earning a pay day. Legends might be pushing it, but they’ve put the graft in for us over the years and deserve it.
It’s not proper cricket at all, it’s mainly old guys having a slog and earning some dollar. I wouldn’t say anybody is missing out on anything in pure cricketing terms by being overlooked.

Well they are missing out, it's a higher level of cricket than they're used to, there are some excellent cricketers on display, the T10 format is excellent practice for being in a T20 format and having to walk in and be inventive from ball one and the bowlers have to be on point every ball.
And who doesn't need a pay day? ZC pay peanuts, everyone is queuing for money to supplement their meagre 5 month window to survive.

Re: Zim Afro T10
I agree, the chance for Bennett to open the batting with Malan for example will help them develop as players. We don't play enough T20 cricket so a chance to focus on the shortest format against good opposition is invaluable.
What is annoying though is that the coaches won't trust the local guys, even when they are better than 5th rate domestic players, they will be batting at 6,7 and 8 and bowling the odd over here and there. It's better than just having a national team camp though.

Re: Zim Afro T10
3 Zim players per team is a disgrace. Apart from Bennett and Raza they're hiding the batters and the bowlers aren't faring much better.
ZC are still owed cash by this mob, plus the players and other staff and yet they agree to hold another tournament? It just stinks.

Re: Zim Afro T10
It's 4 zim players per playing XI.
