Scoring 200 will be an achievement for us and taking more than 3 wickets.

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v India: 5th ODI
What is disastrous for us fans is, we don't have a "radical" solution to improve things that we seemed to have earlier, with the calls like "bring back Hami" (after WC debacle), "bring back Vusi" (after NZ debacle), "bring back Chigs"(after WI debacle) and "bring back Pricey"(after every debacle in last year or so).
Max we can debate is a change in batting order, calls for Maruma's inclusion (and that tells something). No silver lining.

Time for some PJ Moor-mania I guess?

Taylor is captain&wicketkeeper so he's safe. However, one of Malcolm&Williams must surely make way for Maruma. Despite faring better than Williams in the last game, it would be an injustice if Malcolm survives the chop ahead of him because Williams has looked far more capable of making a winning contribution.
Chatara has played 4 matches in a row so I think it's best to bring back Jarvis even though he may well continue to be a liability. No point burning out young Chatara. With everything lost now, I think the Zim technical team should give Utseya a license to attack rather than defend. After he bowled well against WI away during the Test in Bulawayo-like conditions, plus considering that he will be a huge part of our Test attack, it's helps to see how effective he can be with that approach. Hopefully the boys can give millions of us Zimbabweans and Zimbabwean friends another reason to celebrate and top off the excellent prevailing mood on the ground with a much-needed win.

The problem I see is that we have no Shingi or Jarvis. One of those two should be there ahead of Chinouya. Chinouya and Chatara and Vitori are not our best attack. Regardless of the merits of any of them to get a game, the three of them together are not going to get through a batting lineup, except perhaps against Scotland or Kenya.
Shingi is a wicket taker, so is Jarvis.
Taylor must step up and produce an innings, we were never going to win with him averging single figures.
We have a bad record of trying to avoid a white wash in the last game of the series. Usually we avoid it by sneaking an early game, not the last one. Hope we turn it around tonight.

Good lord, hhm (no one bolds names anymore!) being a Zanoid certainly explains his posts. I have posted a reply, hopefully it makes it through the cricinfo moderators. I commented along the lines "If Mugabe can steal an election, perhaps Zimbabwe can steal a victory."

Watching us play is extremely frustrating. We play quite defensively but dont play very smartly.
Vusi should not be a cutting a ball that is that close to your body.
