Their whole bowling attack were outstanding today and they fully deserve the victory.jaybro wrote:Rubel is better than I've given him credit for ......

Wow, what a bowling performance -- and good captaincy as well, putting on the pressure in the middle overs. Well done, BD!

So, the minnows (England) do not have any chance of making it to the quarter-finals now
Congrats BD
Wish Zim would have done something similar

Had their chances against Pak and Ireland this could easily been us but not to be, maybe we didn't deserve it? We have been terrible for a long time now where BD have been building slowing for a while and now seem to have just about all areas of the game covered ......
I wonder how much of a difference Streak has made ?

I was wondering about that as well.jaybro wrote:I wonder how much of a difference Streak has made ?
When we came back to Test cricket we had Heath in charge, we had Jarvis moulding into a McGrath-like test bowler, Vitori swinging it at pace, Bobby Mpofu still very much thereabouts, we had Chatara in the wings, we had Meth, Ncube, Shingi was bowling well ... When Heath got he sack it all unravelled so quickly.

Re: Bangladesh WC 2015 Watch
Yes, I was in fact asleep during the 2nd innings. First innings ended at 0230 and I had to be up by 0645 to make it work on time. So only got 4 odd hours of sleep. It was a restless night, as even in my sleep I was thinking (not dreaming) about the game. When I woke up, I knew the match was either over or in the final overs, and I couldn't resist looking at the scorecard. We won by a slim margin. Had we lost, I wouldn't have watched the 2nd innings replay. Now I'm about to fire up my ESPN to catch the entire 2nd innings as I just got home after a 9 hour non-stop day. Never would have lasted not knowing the result that long, lol.
Thanks to all you zimmers for your well wishes. Give Dav some time and he will take you places - provided you don't lose any more talent, and hopefully get a few guys like Jarvis and Cremer back. Does Jarvis still have his Lancs contract??? Anyone know if he has any intentions of coming back if it doesn't work out at Lancs? Ballance just got dropped, maybe he will get axed and go back to ZIM, and Morgan and Rankin will lead Ireland in their first ever Test match. If you dream, dream big...and no one dreams bigger than us BD fans.
Jaybro, I was gonna say "told you so" but you've adequately covered it yourself. Just so you know, I'm not at all surprised that Sean Williams has been your lead batsman this WC (along with Taylor, but Taylor is a given).
I'll have more analysis in the coming week or two, and maybe then I'll get to say "I told you so."
