I totally forgot that its not cricket season in North India. Not cricket season in Bangladesh either where temps are near 40 degrees. But have you guys seen the weather for Lahore? 43 degrees everyday now! Will be a tough tour for ZIM to acclimate to that extreme heat. I think Dubai is cooler than Lahore or Delhi this time of year.

Damn! And we complain about playing in 35 degrees in KweKwe! That's a whole other level of heat.

That would make sense given how close the sea is. Seas can sometimes have a buffering effect on climate, reducing extremes of temperature.

40+ degree heat though is insane for outdoor sports. That's very poor on the part of the PCB to even think about trying to arrange a tour during that time. :o

I wonder if it has been deemed unsafe partly due to the possibility of the players suffering heat stroke?

They might as well look into night-night cricket then, turn off the lights, so as not to wake up the Taliban, and let the boards negotiate the "results".

From PakPassion:

"Zimbabwean security team arrives in Lahore

A four-member team of Zimbabwe has reached Lahore today (Wednesday) to monitor the security measurements for the Pakistan and Zimbabwe series, Dunya News reported.

Delegation of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) warmly welcomed the guests and thanked them to visit Pakistan.

The team would inspect the arrangements at Gaddafi Stadium and would file a complete report to dispatch it to the authorities in Zimbabwe."

^I had no idea Campbell himself was going to Pakistan with the security team.
