Re: What the next scheduled series for Zimbabwe?

The standard whistle stop warm up before they head down South. Thats a big bonus for us, I hope India don't try and wiggle out of it.

Re: Logan Cup 2020 - 21 : Discussion

I'm looking forward to seeing Myers, if he plays. I wonder how nearly a year of not picking up a cricket bat is going to affect him. If a 19 year old can bang some runs after that kind of a lay-off then you know the standard is not too sharp.

Re: Logan Cup 2020 - 21 : Discussion

I'd like to see Wes open in FC as well, will be interesting.
I'm not sure which team he's in, would be good to see him open with Curran, Welch, or Musakanda then the comparisons would be dead easy, even for our geniuses.

Re: Logan Cup 2020 - 21 : Discussion

Evans needs to prove himself. He didn't take too many wickets in NPL, but he didn't go for much, which means they were just trying to survive him. IF we get some cricket over the next couple of months they'll soon see how good he is compared to our incumbents. As our convenor said on social media- h...

A bio bubble is the cheapest option by far.
You negotiate $200 a day for the whole team in a bed sit that a dog would die in, $10 a day for Travel and Subsistence and the nightmare of managing cricket is over in two months and they can go back to enjoying life. Do the maths.

Re: Logan Cup 2020 - 21 : Discussion

Sometimes when I see some of these players walk out I wonder if they would have been able to deal with a tough, competitive environment with real racial quotas and where results actually matter like South Africa. Too many people just decide to walk out when the going gets tough yet as fans we have ...

Presumably he understands he needs to be a citizen of whichever country he decides to grace with his presence.
Can you play as a refugee?
Not much social distancing or mask wearing in East London right now. Finally people seeing some sense.

Re: Is Sean Williams a better LOI player than Grant Flower?

Pretty decent review. You left out the fielding. Gobs was well ahead. He was a gun. My 10c worth was that GF played much better opposition, and don't forget he had a decent County career. I rate Sean but I'd put Gobs ahead in all departments except batting against spin. Did he ever face Warne, Mural...

Re: Elton Chigumbura to retire from international cricket after Pakistan series

Any news on the Vigne Cup? If that doesn't start soon it probably points to there being a cash flow crisis. If Vigne Cup runs concurrently with Logan Cup then there's probably going to be a shortage of venues and possibly players. If they run these events close to Xmas you're going to see many pulle...

Re: Introducing the BBL Power Surge, X-Factor and Bash Boost

If this carries on you'll have tobacco chewing coaches going head to head and batsmen throwing their helmets aside and charging the bowler if they cop a short one. Or perhaps they'll have a sword fight instead of the 14th over, gay mud wrestling in the 18th to tick the inclusivity box and a cook-off...
