They're allowed 15 degrees. A good example is Dale Steyn. Watch a slo mo of him, he's got quite a few degrees of flex and no doubt it makes him a bit quicker.
You can go to the extreme and watch Ahktar

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd Test (2025)

Vinny doing well should be bitter sweat for Masakadza because he automatically takes his place. Great debut from him soo far. He really looked the part in that second spell and he was enjoying it too. Good cricket to watch that. Who's to say what a couple of our other spinners would have been like ...

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd Test (2025)

Ngarava needs to work on his fitness. He has lost about 10kph/hour of pace. I guess they are well protected domestically but he either needs a rest or to work on his fitness. The next few months are going to be brutal. I think Newman is bowling in the late 130s already. He might actually be more of...

And yet really athletic looking guys don't get it much above 130. It's very strange. That new tech that shows run up speed, arm speed, wrist speed and final ball speed would be useful. A lot of our guys don't use the wrist enuf. In fact I've seen a couple of coaches encourage a firmer wrist to impro...

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd Test (2025)

A decent leggie is priceless. Masekesa has been known for being a bit brittle. If you get after him he starts bowling poorly, but once he finds his rhythm he can bowl beautiful spells. Zim have really pulled this back but they've got too many already. It's going to take some serious batting and a lo...

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd Test (2025)

Well if he can control this and get it to turn he's pencilled himself into the England squad.

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd Test (2025)

And another one!! Williams at second slip with a great catch! Vinnie and Welly look like different bowlers this session. The lesser batsmen don't do much to put you off your length so it is a bit easier, but still it's impressive. I really don't think Ervine should have taken the new cherry. How did...
