Re: Ryan Higgins Turned Down Zimbabwe Approach

Burns has committed himself to playing for Italy with a hope to qualify for the next World Cup, I believe you have some pre qualifying tournament coming up soon? The tapeball thing is banter because you used to mention it in every post like Googly does with that high performance centre ran by BT an...

Re: Ryan Higgins Turned Down Zimbabwe Approach

I see old Lanzoni has poached Joe Burns from Australia into his tape ball league to increase the Italian’s chances of qualifying for the 2026 t20 World Cup  I miss the link (and the fun). Anyhow, it's almost impossible for Italy to qualify to any World Cup in the near and mid future. Good news...

Re: Ryan Higgins Turned Down Zimbabwe Approach

The latest ZC ploy is to pay guys in Zig, which is now the offical currency and government is on another drive to curtail the use of USD. Quite a few cricketers were owed money from months ago, they pay some guys on time and others they dont appear to want to. So if they were owed 400 dollars for e...

Re: Ryan Higgins Turned Down Zimbabwe Approach

Byrom, Higgins, maybe some others I don't know. They should be courted to play for Zimbabwe. I do not see a conflict from being pursued to play for Zimbabwe national squad and continuing playing in overseas domestic leagues. Apart from few overlappings, there would be plenty of chances: England has ...

Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team

I can hardly figure out a sport where a previous generation can do better than the present one. In record breaking sports it is easy to reckon. However, even in motorsport top stars of the past such as Stewart, Senna or even Schumacher couldn't beat Hamilton or Verstappen. I'm sorry to admit: Marque...

Re: Match Thread: 3rd T20 Zimbabwe v Bangladesh (7th May 2024)

Can the rest of the forum please finally admit now that as good as he is and has been for us, that he is not a world class player? As I (and Pat) have been saying and getting grief for? The closest that we have to world class though, at least. Exactly, not a world class player, still someone that Z...

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 1st T20 (3rd May)

So.... for many months the question has been: "how a future without the big three". Today it was it: all of them out for zero. Some pondering may be done at mid innings: - 124 is a score I would have never foreseen when the situation was 41 for 7 - yes todays IPL is showing boom boom cricket at more...

Is the long time injury 'hiatus' finally over? Is he fully fit now?

Re: Drugs bans

Taylor playing the ongoing Legends league cricket, how is it possible when the ban is not lifted? I'm still hoping he would come back to competitive cricket. In few moths the ban should be over. If he managed to keep himself fit, he could still be helpful for at least a couple of years. If fit, a c...
