Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
if we are talking ODI cricket, which I assume we are as we have only played like 2 Tests in the past 3 years and T20I didn't exist in 2004, - then there is absolutely no competition and the current 2024 side shits all over the 2004 one. Sorry, but they probably beat the 90's one as well. Cricket is ...

Re: ZC to build new cricket stadium in Gweru
And that’s before we mention just how much this is going to cost when we have significantly more pressing issues in our cricket.
This is absolute madness. It really could be the straw that breaks the camels back and kills cricket in this country once and for all.

Re: ZC to build new cricket stadium in Gweru
Can someone explain issue with Vic falls stadium. When county sides come and their staff they can really tap into tourism aspect of falls as well as when international sides come over. Backdrop is amazing and hopefully will be well used. The only countries likely to bring any significant tourists w...

Re: ZC to build new cricket stadium in Gweru

As if Vic Falls is the next fucking Dubai
I nearly spat my sadza out

Re: ZC to build new cricket stadium in Gweru
The argument for not playing first class matches outside of Harare is that ZC can’t justify the cost to bus players to e.g. Kwekwe. So are they really going to fly players down to Vic falls?!? This will be the biggest white elephant in the country. It will get used for the 2027 WC (I hope there are ...

Re: ZC to build new cricket stadium in Gweru
Vic Falls is going ahead and they’ve got Mnangagwa doing a ground breaking ceremony for it next week. Lord help us.
I think the only people who think it is a good idea are either; a) personally benefitting from it or b) have never been to Vic Falls.
