With a massively successful T20 WC campaign under their belt, its time for ZIM to look forward and plan for the [real] World Cup in about 18 months time.
My prediction is that Taylor, Ervine, and Raza will all make the squad, barring any uncontrollable issue (ie injuries).

Well done to the Italians. Looks like they've got at least 4 actual Italianos in that squad!

Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
Posted in the wrong thread, but Bangladesh may very well have smartly chosen to boycott a tournament where they would have gotten embarassed. Even Nepal are posting 180 totals against a B3 attack no less. Afghans may bow out in the group stage but haven't harmed their burgeoning reputation - having ...

Re: T20 World Cup Thread Match 1 (9th February) - Zimbabwe vs Oman
Bangladesh would have absolutely gotten thrashed at this world cup. We have guys scoring 17, 18, 19 runs in super overs and still losing. Even Nepal is racking up 180 totals. Scotland and Netherlands can always pull a surprise, and then Ireland and Zimbabwe can also beat anybody on their day.

Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
Such a wonderful sight seeing Afghanistan lose. Hate that they get to be part of comps and get funding and all, yet they are also allowed to break ICC regulations and rules, and get away with it. If one thing is clear, there aren't rules or regulations the jungle anymore. AFG are just the anomaly w...

I big him up and he goes for a hoik. All he had to do was see Emon off, one more over max. Eeish that was stupid. That was unbelievable bowling. These two are world class. Emon is surprisingly effective and seems to have something about him. But I think world class gets thrown around with too much ...

Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
Old lanzone smashed Ireland   tapeball paying dividends T20 anyone can win on the day. That being said, IDK how I feel about a 20 team world cup. Way too many teams unless the entire thing is a knockout. 14-16 teams would probably be best and then keep the ODI world cup to top 10 + 4 qual...
