What’s the record for most losses in a row in the last over?

Zimbabwe always manage to win tight matches. In fact, this is the first one they've lost in YEARS.

Re: Sri Lanka Zim 2nd ODI 31Aug 2025

Against these better sides as long as it's tight and we play well and professionally it's hard to complain. We're in such a low place and it's a step in the right direction. Sri Lanka's white ball teams are pretty ordinary. They are surprisingly good in Tests, but their ODI rating is almost certain...

Yes. We need to play Bangladesh more often.
No one in Bangladesh will disagree with you.

How many consecutive defeats across formats is that now?

At least we've been competitive in this series!
Was the last win the Test match in Bangladesh??

Re: World Test Championship : Performance by Team

Lot of talk of finally expanding the WTC to 12 teams and finally bringing Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, and Ireland into the mix with two tiers. England seem to be wary of that, as it means they could potentially miss out on series vs India and Australia. ICC really needs to address that and can do so quit...

Actually thats a bit unfair. The lack of interest is the lack of money. Tough to be professional when they give you enough money to last the first half of the first week of the month.
Looks ZC needs a Mamdani type at the helm to make sure players get a livable wage.

Re: Zimbabwe vs New Zealand | Test Series | Second Test | 07 August 2025 - 11 August 2025

Establishing a cricket powerhouse in the modern era is a next to impossible task. If it were so easy, Pakistan wouldn't be a mediocre side for the last 20 years. They used to be a powerhouse until the 1990s. West Indies were an even more potent force and they are generally bang average as well. The ...

Re: Zimbabwe vs New Zealand | Test Series | Second Test | 07 August 2025 - 11 August 2025

Ok yeah, this is pretty bad. In the overall context of also losing by an innings to Wiaan Mulder, a guy who entered the game with a batting average of 25. Its not a good look. Particularly with a near full strength side (ie an all white top order almost).

Re: Zimbabwe vs New Zealand | Test Series | Second Test | 07 August 2025 - 11 August 2025

Well we've been relatively competitive against them all at times in the past. My point is that hopefully/maybe our players will have learnt or improved from this brutal run of fixtures and if we were to play one of those smaller teams then maybe we would see it. There's a series vs AFG at the tail ...
