It is absolutely very concerning and very telling that with all the issues Zimbabwe cricket have, two new stadiums are the priority.
Zim have never had an issue with lack of stadiums ever. The logical conclusion is money laundering or siphoning.

Re: 5th T20I | Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh | May 12, 2024
We just aren’t a T20 country Almost all our bats appear bedy classically trained. One of the reasons we seem to put up more of a fight in tests in terms of batting. What always surprises me with our guys is why they don’t swing more in the power plays. There’s way more room for error as you just nee...

Re: 2023-2031 FTP news, updates, etc
There really should be a strict test home and away schedule.
Some allowances and tweaks, such as ashes etc at the expense of a 2nd tester against Zim or Ireland.
But this prizefight exhibitionism doesn’t make sense.

Re: 5th T20I | Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh | May 12, 2024
Totally. He ain’t producing the goods and needs chopping. All the excuses are just that, excuses. We live in an age of positive reinforcement which allows accountability to be avoided. Solely looking good in domestic won’t make runs at international level whichever way you try and spin it. The kid ...

Re: 5th T20I | Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh | May 12, 2024
The KPIs of batting in cricket is quite simple. You need to make runs. I don’t know how people can just dismiss critique of Marumani as just a mental thing. That IS cricket. You don’t need stroke aesthetic to be a talented bat. Look at Bennett. He looks like a tail ender but he makes the runs. More ...

Re: Sean Williams retiring from T20i
I would think Ervine and Williams would like to hang on for the Lord's Test. That's a good way to sign off your career on. I have mixed feelings on that one though. On the one hand they've earned it, on the other we play so few high profile games that if we've got another couple of players doing re...

Re: 5th T20I | Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh | May 12, 2024
That’s was a marvelous innings by Bennett. He’s going to be a star. It’s because he understands the game well and he’s already had at least 3 useful to match winning knocks in his career. This was not that easy a pitch to bat on. Really solid performance. I watched the highlights I noticed that all...

Re: Sean Williams retiring from T20i
I dont see the point of thenm retiring from the format outright, i think they would be great backup players. No doubt they are hanging in till the 27 WC. Then id say Williams retires instantly due to his body and Craig 1 or 2 test series later. I see no issue with them hanging in. Even if they decli...
