Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd Test (2025)

Welch looks horribly out of form, unless this is how he always looks?

Can't say I saw much of his 90 v Ireland

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd Test (2025)

Can't say I am in-love with Bennett's technique, but his output thus far in his short career has certainly been extremely good for Zimbabwe standards.

Zimbabwe can always uncover some potholes, even on the smoothest roads.
8th over sees the intro of spin, Curran edges straight to slip.

Lucky the Banga's can't catch, but I think we will see a spin-a-thon from here

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd Test (2025)

Looks like a road, as per usual at Chittagong. Big chance for someone to make a really big score, although No matter the conditions, Zimbabwe never seem to go super big. Zim seem to always do better on pitches that offer the bowlers assistance, which makes sense. Generally the more lively the pitch ...

This should be compulsory viewing for any batsman at any level. Let's not forget he turned up here and was ignored
He'd have won us many many games.

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd Test (2025)

From memory Tsiga was clumsy as all hell in the Windies series, he also didn’t offer much with the bat apart from a useful block. Does he even keep regularly for Rocks now? I really don’t know how Zim have ended up in this position where the keeper is such a weakness. Zimbabwe has a great history of...

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd Test (2025)

Chittagong or what ever it’s called these days has always been a real batsman’s paradise which can take turn later in the match.

Re: Road to the England Test 2025

There’s a fixture with a counties select XI the week before, 3 or 4 day, can’t remember which. Ok that’s something at least. Probably need 2-3 games if not more tbh. I know it’s going back a long way, but when Zimbabwe toured Australia in 2003, they must have gotten there a month before at least an...

Re: Road to the England Test 2025

Does anyone know if Zim will have any warm up games in England prior to the Test match? The fixture list on ESPNcricinfo says there isn’t, but it seems crazy to go to England for just one test match, and even crazier to have zero warm up games in preparation for the biggest test match in Zimbabwe’s ...

Re: Match Thread: Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 1st Test (20th-24th April 2025)

Hey gang hope all are well, Great test win for the boys after giving up strong positions in their last 4 tests, it was great to see Wes & Wellington hold their nerve at the end and get them over the line. Blessing is world class, I know his best numbers have come against the lower sides, but he did ...
