According to cricinfo, Eddie Byrom is in the team for today's match against Hampshire:

Is this guy also gone the English route. If that is the case no need to follow him.

The forecast says 60% chance of rain in the afternoon. Hope we get a complete game today. Teams look evenly matched but surely Zim would be the favorites here.

Re: Lead up to 1st ODI v Scotland

Cricinfo hasn't forgotten us :) http://www.espncricinfo.com/scotland-v-zimbabwe-2017/content/story/1103522.html Cricinfo's probably XI: Zimbabwe (probable): 1 PJ Moor (wk), 2 Solomon Mire, 3 Hamilton Masakadza, 4 Craig Ervine, 5 Sean Williams, 6 Ryan Burl, 7 Malcolm Waller, 8 Graeme Cremer (capt), ...

Re: 4th ODI: Zimbabwe v Afghanistan

The grounds man doing some good game management for Zimbabwe :D . That will ensure that afgan won't bat again and Zim have to chase 120 odd off 35 overs.

Zim need Andy Waller/ Grant Flower Back

I thought the batting team did well under the guidance of Andy Waller / Grant Flower. Now that we have Streak and Ntini that have strengthen our bowling department.
Streak always does well with the pace bowlers. If our batting come to the party, then we will be difficult to beat.

Thoughts? :geek:

Re: Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan (1st ODI)

"The Afghanistan players aren't happy about something , probably the outfield the two batsmen are walking back to the pavilion after having a chat with the umpires now the Afghanistan fielders are marching out of the field"

You see what I mean. Afgan using the same strategy against us.

Re: Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan (1st ODI)

wow.tough luck on Burl possibly costung us the game on debut.hope it doesn't ruin his confidence going forward. It was a good delivery, not like he was out slogging to midwicket. Just a good bit of bowling, no shame in that. I'm not disputing the delivery, All i'm saying is game management likke in...

Seems it has stopped raining. I would help them with the statistics if I was at the ground. :W:

Re: Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan (1st ODI)

And now off for rain. Probably the ideal result is we lose about 10 overs and have to chase another 60 runs or so. That would make 60 off 13 overs at 4.8 rpo roughly. The current rrr is 5.16. So from 40 overs, you'd probably need another 85 or so based on DL. That's if it stops raining. Match situa...
