Re: Ireland pre Tour

Williams and Bennett will take as many wickets with the ball as any of our specialist spinners. Picking Mavuta or Masakadza is a wasted spot.

Re: David Mutendera Biography - John Ward (2002)

Mutendera certainly has an interesting story, and he no doubt faced some difficulties due to race in his career.

Re: World Test Championship : Performance by Team

The lack of draws now might affect things also? Only 3 drawn tests in 2024 I think?

Re: Ryan Higgins Turned Down Zimbabwe Approach

Yes, County ain’t great. There has been some truly average players for England over the years and if this guy has never had a look in I don’t think he’s head and shoulders above our guys. Above yes, but not by much. This is why I want Cartwright. He’s a mainstay for WA and by that fact alone he WIL...

Re: Ryan Higgins Turned Down Zimbabwe Approach

English County Cricket is rather overrated, particularly on the bowling front. Some rather mediocre guys can look good on the wickets over there. I'd rate performances in the Australian system much higher.

If there is a racial quota, the selectors are really in a sticky situation. The only black batsman who has scored any runs at all has been Kaitano - Myers and Gumbie have to go. With the Welch's and Campbell knocking on the door, and Higgins potentially returning - 7 into 4 doesn't go.

Re: Ryan Higgins Turned Down Zimbabwe Approach

There isn't a good record of rolling out the red carpet for guys returning from overseas and them working out. Jarvis came back half the bowler he was before he left for England. Are we sure Higgins isn't being overhyped?

That was a rather encouraging day wasn't it gents. Again, thanks to Bet365 simply no longer recognising my account and the spam sights doing their best to hack my phone, I haven't seen a single ball. Looking forward to the highlights
