Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
Given the current team are less fit and worse fielders than 2004, let alone the 1990s, I'm not sure why people are so confident they'd wipe the floor with the greats of yesteryear.

Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
1000% agree. It's like the Bradman die-hards- he wouldn't make a Div2 club side  Every sport the players get bigger, stronger, faster, practice 3 times as much, get paid 100 times more and yet people think a player or team from 20-50 years ago would compete. They're in dream land. The only guy...

Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
if we are talking ODI cricket, which I assume we are as we have only played like 2 Tests in the past 3 years and T20I didn't exist in 2004, - then there is absolutely no competition and the current 2024 side shits all over the 2004 one. Sorry, but they probably beat the 90's one as well. Cricket is...

Re: State of SA
Just realized after reading an article on cricinfo that Rabada is the only black African selected in South Africa's squad for The T20 WC 2024! 5 other players of color are selected, so it's a total of 6 players all of whom will make the squad even on merit. Given that South Africa officially have t...

Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
I would take the talent we had coming through in 2004 over what we have now. 2004 was a historical low point for Zimbabwe in our full member history, and yet I think we were in better shape than we are now.

2004 Team v 2024 Team
Which team would you rather have? Back in 2004 we were fresh out of the rebel saga and were left with a team with inexperienced youngsters. We are pretty much entering into a similar time now with an impending loss of experience and unproven youngsters. Which group would you rather have, the 2004 sq...
