Re: 5th T20I | Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh | May 12, 2024
Another very poor 6 hitter is Wes. He might actually have to be the guy who plays anchor in the future. Just to put it into perspective Bennet has hit 10 sixes in 11 games. Wes has only managed 14 sixes in 60 games. I used to think it was just an age thing but Bennett has proven that to be false. M...

Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
Well here's the question- Are you saying he'd average 99 in modern cricket? I'm saying he was a fantastic player for his time, but he wouldn't come close to that in the modern era. The main debate would be whether he was similar to the modern greats averaging in the 50's or not. Most people get upt...

Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
Not really sure what you are trying to achieve Googly. Bradman was the best of his time. His stats back that up. He could only face what was in front of him and he dominated all of that. Give him the training, nutrition, coaches and equipment of today and I'm sure he would be just as a good. So many...

Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
In a T20 I'm picking Maru all day. Dead serious. He plays shots that Bradman would never have heard of. Bradman is a pet topic of mine. I've watched hours of 1930's cricket in morbid fascination at their mannerisms and lack of ability . I'd rather watch Uganda Women play Churchill u13B You mentione...

Re: ZC announce major restructure: Mhishi Committee
It's all just another con by ZC. Pretending that they are actually improving things when they are not.
They are probably trying to figure out a way to get Utseya or Elton the job.

Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
Bradman hit six 6's in 53 tests and no 6's in 238 first class games. You'd have to move the boundary rope in about 50m before he could clear the rope. If you stuck him in a time machine and got him to face an over from Brett Lee he'd do worse than Piers Morgan. Maruma has hit 116 first class sixes....

Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
if we are talking ODI cricket, which I assume we are as we have only played like 2 Tests in the past 3 years and T20I didn't exist in 2004, - then there is absolutely no competition and the current 2024 side shits all over the 2004 one. Sorry, but they probably beat the 90's one as well. Cricket is...

Re: 2004 Team v 2024 Team
That 2004 team had talent and was being nurtured properly. It was just Bvute and co who insisted on transformation so they were forced to play international cricket earlier than they should have. They then didn't get proper training, development, the funds were squandered etc etc. We had a proper li...
