Re: Zimbabweans In Franchise League

I think I vomited a bit when reading that article. So much smoke has been blown up their arses about their ability when in actual fact, they're both very very average. Yet, a bloke like Brad Evans with a domestic bowling average of 14 in T20 cricket, and who was one of the leading wicket takers for...

Re: Eagles U15 festival

Watched a fair bit of this. And? Wildly mixed standard, as you'd probably expect. Loads of 6/10 RFM and OS. Wishart was also a strong seamer, as well as being leading scorer. I think Sean Makaniso is only 12. Definitely still at Primary School. Also opened the batting, but struggled for power unsur...

What did you think?
I feel all provinces/franchises should be having one.
Rhinos had one the previous week. I think Tuskers had similar this week, but wasn't really publicised.

Re: Logan Cup & Pro50: Rocks v Eagles | Rhinos v Mountaineers

Surely matty welch isn't done. I know he's had a poor season but to write him off would be a bit much. Yea its a strange one, with Nick. He's evidently got what it takes to score runs internationally, yet he absolutely has struggled domestically when less talented players have thrived. I've never w...

Re: Logan Cup & Pro50: Rocks v Eagles | Rhinos v Mountaineers

Welch has had 3 full domestic seasons now. 23/24 - Poor 24/25 - Highest season total in the Logan Cup, since it was reduced to 8 matches. Forced his way into international cricket by weight of runs, albeit very recent runs. 25/26 - Back to poor, although a lot of fast starts that were not converted,...

Re: Logan Cup & Pro50: Rocks v Eagles | Rhinos v Mountaineers

Melch can bounce back from what was no doubt a terrible season. Throwing in the towel because of one bad season would be such a pussy move. At that age as well... Had really promising seasons aged 20 and 21, and was picked for ZIm A, and a crappy one aged 22. Plenty of good players hadn't even debu...

The next step for the domestic season is to have a second league going at the same time.

The issue would be cost but surely playing even just 50 over games on weekends would be better.
Was thinking this as well. In the very early days of these franchises, they had a B-league.
