Who should bat 7?
Considering that there is no need for this person to bowl or keep. In fact, if they did, that would make things more awkward.
Genuine question as well. I can't see a good option for this slot.

Re: Logan Cup Round 3 - 17th -20th November
It will be interesting to see what they do. Do they go the Brian bennet path or the David Bennett path Everything would suggest that they are taking their cricket seriously. Moved back to Zim school from SA. Playing every game going at club, U19 or Academy level. I don’t think a great standard but ...

Re: Zimbabwe Vs Sri Lanka | T20I Tri-Series | 20th Nov
The issue here... Is that 6/7 are very niche roles in a T20 side. They're basically never going to score 50s. If they're averaging over 20, they're probably not playing the role properly. Musekiwa's 11 off 7 today is more or less what he's in the team for. Specialist bat at 7 in a T20 side is a than...

Re: Logan Cup Round 3 - 17th -20th November
It's a bit disconcerting that these Pakistani bowlers do seem to be a level above the locals. There is a 10-team FC comp ongoing in Pakistan at the moment, so in theory these guys are outside of the top 200 cricketers in Pakistan. Granted the un-meritocratic nature of their talent ID is notoriously ...

Re: Logan Cup Round 3 - 17th -20th November
Lot of Pakistani first class debuts... To be honest, I think I would have been very critical of that at one point. However, I do think that the guys they got in during the 23/24 season actually added a lot to the competition, even though they were similarly inexperienced. Clearly their skills were i...

So long as there is promotion and relegation, I'd be 100% behind 2 tiers.
Presumably England, India and Australia are too entitled and arrogant to allow that to happen though...

Re: Logan Cup Round 2 : 6 - 9 November
Taruvinga is playing some good consistent cricket over different formats. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a call up No he’s absolutely miles off. But no doubt a solitary Logan Cup century will see him named Zolsky’s Next Generational Black Talent Superstar and he’ll get at least 100 white ball caps of...

Taruvinga is playing some good consistent cricket over different formats. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a call up Very early. He's yet to score a 100... But he is looking promising, still a teenager and scoring in franchise FC & List A and NPL T20. Looks at this stage to be the pick of the batters f...

Re: Sean Williams
All very sad. Especially when you consider that he has been playing better than ever the last 12 months - remarkable given his age.
Memories of his stroke play will last. Best since Flower is probably fair.
