I saw someone on social media justifying this (and the wider surrounding development) as ‘look at Dubai in the 90’s….it was nothing’.
As if Vic Falls is the next fucking Dubai
I nearly spat my sadza out

Re: ZC to build new cricket stadium in Gweru
The argument for not playing first class matches outside of Harare is that ZC can’t justify the cost to bus players to e.g. Kwekwe. So are they really going to fly players down to Vic falls?!? This will be the biggest white elephant in the country. It will get used for the 2027 WC (I hope there are ...

Re: ZC to build new cricket stadium in Gweru
Vic Falls is going ahead and they’ve got Mnangagwa doing a ground breaking ceremony for it next week. Lord help us.
I think the only people who think it is a good idea are either; a) personally benefitting from it or b) have never been to Vic Falls.

Marumani has more natural ability than Bennett with the bat.

Re: ZC to build new cricket stadium in Gweru
I’m not sure where this land is exactly. The city council have been trying for many years to evict Gweru Sports Club from their current historic ground in a prime location in order to build residential or commercial lots. It’s one of the few sports clubs out in the provinces that has held out in the...

Re: 5th T20I | Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh | May 12, 2024
I’m with Googly 100% on Marumani. He’s very talented. People on here and on social media who don’t watch our domestic cricket won’t believe me. But I’ve seen a lot of him ever since he was about 15 and he’s got something. I think almost every single person in the setup genuinely believes so too. Yes...

Re: Sean Williams retiring from T20i
Apparently the England test is going to be at Taunton!
The problem being that Lords is due to host the next world test final around the same time and therefore not available

Re: Sean Williams retiring from T20i
In theory we have; 2024: 1 Test in Ireland 2 Tests home to Afghanistan 2025: 2 Tests home to Ireland 1 Test in England 2 Tests home to SA 2 Tests home to NZ 2 Tests home to Afghanistan 2 Tests in Bangladesh Potentially 14 Tests in 18 months! Highly unlikely of course, I estimate a fair chunk of thos...
