Re: Liam Brickhill's year end review of Zim

This stat you always pull up about Hami's average against non test playing nations should be put into context by comparing the other players averages against these sides as well. I haven't looked at the stats myself but I'm sure their stats will fall also ..... Also another thing into context Afgha...

Re: Bangladesh Watch 2015-2019

Well that was a underwhelming series. Only positives are that Nurul Hasan showed some potential with the bat, as he is widely rated to be the best WK in the country. And of course Mustafizur slowly getting his groove back. 4 wickets at around 24 with an econ rate of under 5 is very good in NZ. Was o...

Re: Liam Brickhill's year end review of Zim

The young quick from Sri Lanka is doing some damage today against the Proteas ..... Kriterion are you sure you're not a women ? You will argue about just about any tiny point  Hami had a rough end to the year but people forget how good his start to the year was !!! Ok Craig was our premier bat...

Re: Liam Brickhill's year end review of Zim

Chammeera is the only addition to the list I can accept, but even he was injured at the time and in fact, would most likely be replaced in the playing XI by Lahiru Kumara today against SA, the same 19 year old greenhorn who debuted against Zim. What would that say? They are both seen at same level ...

Re: Liam Brickhill's year end review of Zim

(albeit 3rd string SL side) later on Well, not really, not even 2nd string. Only Mathews and Chandimal missing from their best XI. Their pace attack is so non-existent that it does not matter who is sharing the new ball anyway, and the guy who played in Zim got his first 5 for in SA last week, so, ...

Re: Liam Brickhill's year end review of Zim

] That just tells half the story. Clearly Ervine was more dependable in the second half of the year, while Hamilton blazed away in the first half. Now, his sudden loss of that spectacular form could be due to: Easily explained by the fact that Zim were playing fellow minnows at the beginning of the...

Re: Bangladesh Watch 2015-2019

Nasir Hossain hasn't been given a decent run in the side, and the times he has, he's done OK I believe. Still averages over 30+ in both formats. Nasir did well enough in his last game vs England but then gets dropped. Same issue with Rubel now. Soumya is a pure talent, he may not be consistent but w...

Re: Bangladesh Watch 2015-2019

Another shocking and disgraceful collapse to lose a 2nd consecutive seried loss. We should be winning these ODIs from dominant positions.

Lots of mental regression going on here.

Re: Bangladesh Watch 2015-2019

First real Test coming up for BD. Havent played an away series since 2014 when they were thrashed by the Windies in all formats.

Mustafiz is back from his shoulder surgery...will have to see how long it takes to get his form back and if he can get his pace back.

JHunter wrote:Kriterion_BD, what's your opinion of Stuart Law as a coach when he coached Bangladesh?
He was around for a very short time...less than a year I believe. Hence I cannot really comment.
