Re: 1st ODI Zimbabwe vs Ireland

The average score on this pitch is 230+ & the successful chase Ireland ever had is 237 only. So just assumptions that Irish could have chased 266 At the 30 over mark, Ireland needed 132 off 20 overs with 8 wickets in hand and the requred run rate was only 6.60 Ireland collapsed and by doing so, the...

Re: 1st ODI Zimbabwe vs Ireland

I have to strongly disagree. Based on the match I watched today, that was very obviously not a good pitch for batting earlier in the day. Ervine himself said in the post match that they knew anything over 250 would probably be a winning score. We did very very well to get as many runs as we did. It...

And the required run rate climbs to 6 for the first time in the chase (19th over).

Re: Ireland Wolves v Zimbabwe XI

For me the reasoning is quite simple. You must not loose to a test-playing nation even if it’s a T-20 series. Reserve these silly experiments with Namibia, Nepal or Netherlands. Moreover, it’s all about pride. Prove to the world that Zim deserved to be in the T20 WC rather than they ain’t add anythi...

As expected Raza is missing out. This is quite harsh on Sikki.

William Porterfield returns for Wolves, and let's hope the Fab Four makes an appearance, but Zimbabwe cricket is seldom predictable. Po...

Think my favourite moment of the entire series was Jongwe doing his MOTM interview with the host broadcaster in Shona with a translator despite speaking fluent English. Good on him! Makorokoto!
Reminded me of Heath Steak doing the same.
