Afghans take a 1-0 lead in a pretty close first ODI.
Zadran and Tector both highlighting their class with big hundreds. Exciting talents the two of them!

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe
It wasn't a bad plan by Marumani trying to hit himself into form. Being positive can be a great mindset swing. However just hitting sixes rather than milking the singles will often result in players working you out which happened today. Appeared too one dimensional. Fun while it lasted mind. Fun wh...

Afghanistan vs Ireland | Test Match 2024
Afghans batting first and two down fairly quickly.
Rooting for the Irish boys here to pick up their first Test win. I'll always remember Bangladesh's first Test win and thats a special moment.

Much more traditional Test in Ranchi.
Joe Root took 219 balls to reach his hundred and now England look poised to take some sort of lead.

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe
I think Campbell, Bennett, and Myers (if/when he returns) are the future. There is no guarantee of success, but they have shown the most potential. I'm not sure about Madande, but he's shown some glimpses of good things. Gumbie seems to have great work ethic and maximizes his skills...thats an essen...

Re: Afghanistan Watch | Post 2023 World Cup
I think Afghanistan are one of those teams who can beat pretty much anyone but also lose to pretty much anyone. Given the circumstances in Afghanistan, I'm curious how they'll keep developing cricketers. Presumably they are relying on local coaches at a domestic level as foreigners would have littl...

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe
By all accounts he is not the brightest. He’s unlikely to figure it out himself but presumably the only coaching he gets is a few random directionless net sessions and some coaching from Matsikenyeri who has failed with almost every single one of our batters over the past five years. The good news ...

Afghanistan Watch | Post 2023 World Cup
The Afghans really surprised a lot of people by winning 4 games at the world cup (vs England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Netherlands), and came agonizingly close vs Australia, and had they beat a pitiful Bangladesh...they'd have stormed into the semi-finals. But the question is, are Afghanistan rea...
