Re: Afghanistan Watch 2016-2018
Big test for the Afghans coming up...first bilateral series with Bangladesh. They have a 100% win record vs BD in BD. Asian conditions should be to their liking although they are missing Hamid and Shapoor. But Hamid is almost always out injured... Might be their best shot with Mustafiz out injured a...

Re: Bangladesh Watch 2015-2019
Taskin and Sunny have had their actions cleared, thanfully. Not sure if Sunny will be effective, but a lot of posters at pakpassion reckon Taskin will be fine since he had a "clean" action to begin with. I tend to agree. We have our 3 match ODI series against the Afghans who warmed up nicely with a ...

Re: The John Ward column
Ahh, OK. Always good to have insiders around. I have a couple insider friends at the BCB - well one guy is the nephew of the BCB vice president and he lives stateside so he doesn't have much info usually, lol. Do you know Ward outside of his role at ZC or did you somehow just luck out and get him as...

Re: National Players go on strike
It would appear anyone with money in a bank in ZIM is in the same boat, not just the cricketers. That would mean only politicians or other VVIPs who can pull strings and or disregard the law would be able to be comfortable in the current situation. In that light, having more money from sponsors woul...

Re: National Players go on strike
Just read a artile on cnn.com that the whole country is is on a cash crisis, not just ZC. Apparently people can only withdraw limited amouts from their bank accounts. So even the ZC millionaires are in the same boat as the players, unless they keep all their money stuffed in a mattress at home. But ...

Re: 2016 ICC Restructuring (2 Division Test League, etc)
Well the 10 team Test status quo will be maintained. The only addition is a Test Championship which is certainly a welcome move. Would be better if it was a 4 team playoff. But with the current FTP in place ZIM will play at most 4-5 Tests per year and Bangladesh will have to endure 6 plus month dry ...

Who is Jakiel?
I have heard a number of posters mention this guy over the past few months. Just wondering who he is because last time I checked he doesn't even have a cricinfo profile. Has he even played in the Logan Cup or any senior domestic cricket in Zimbabwe? Any video clips of his bowling? Curious to know wh...

Re: 2016 ICC Restructuring (2 Division Test League, etc)
The idea is neither bad nor good. But its idiotic to have games outside the league points table. Glad the BCCI is squashing that bullshit. Otherwise it would have been OK. As a BD fan i obviously dont want to get relegated, but if you're not good enough, you can't really complain. No. If you aren't...
